What are the aims of Binomial Nomenclature?

Answer: The aims and principles of Binomial Nomenclature are:
1. To differentiate between organisms by giving the names.
2. The names should be scientific.
3. Names should be given as follows
First name should be of its GENUS and second name should be of its SPECIES
E.g. Brassica (Genus) and Campestris (Species)
